How are we different?
We’ve been doing this for a year now and our classes are rocking along! With classes on Zoom, our children are able to get that much needed social interaction that they so greatly need. Our core focus is group oriented, but we also always have “melody and rhythm time” where each child has an individual turn to participate, singing the given melody and speaking that week’s Suzuki rhythm. It’s amazing that we’ve been able to continue this Musikgarten tradition over Zoom, and how supportive everyone is of one another!
Teacher Clarice has over ten years experience working with toddlers and teaching voice and piano to students of all ages. With music curriculum ranging from Musikgarten, Kodály, and Suzuki method to learning activities centered around world music, classical music, and classic children’s tunes, her classes offer a wide range of musical fun to explore. Singing, play with instruments, rhythm and tonal games, dancing, and movement are just a little of what you can expect in each class! Our group classes are designed for children ages 0-5 and parents and caregivers will also learn the best tools and techniques for continuing their child’s education at home.
Now what exactly is Musikgarten? Musikgarten is an internationally recognized early childhood music program that guides babies to school-aged children through a set series of classes and methodology that has been proven to successfully engage children and create musical aptitude. Musikgarten is the one of the few programs that offers music curricula for newborns to older school-aged children in piano and voice instruction. It is based on a keen understanding of how children learn, in both a general sense and, specifically, how they learn music
Our Mission
The most critical time in a child’s development is from birth through age five. Our programs are specifically designed to expose your child to a wide variety of scales, rhythms, instruments, and styles to maximize musical potential. Our mission is to stimulate brain and muscle development through music and encourage musical aptitude while providing a fun, safe, and energetic learning environment for children and their parents. Researchers have documented that exposure to music in early childhood has a positive effect on the brain, and that the earlier you start, the better!
